The first thing I'm going to sort is my clothes. They are the easiest to do because I only wear a few items most of the time.
So, I'll pretend I'm packing to go on holiday, but I need to include a couple of extra items I'll also need for work.
3x pants
3x socks
2x jeans
2x trousers (I need these for work. They also double-up as smart going-out trousers)
3x t-shirts
2x shorts (that also double-up as swimming trunks)
1x trainers (sneakers)
1x shoes
1x formal shirt
2x work shirts (also needed for work)
1x towel
1x fingerless gloves for winter
//
Ok, so I've tried and it won't all fit in the backpack. I'm left with:
2x work shirts
1x shorts (I don't yet have a 2nd pair anyway)
1x t-shirt
1x gloves
I'll try again but without the items I am currently wearing.
//
OK, it can almost be done... except for my work shirts, I can fit all my clothes in. As I'll be wearing some type of clothing at any one time, I can fit whats not being worn, minus 2 shirts, in a backpack. I can also just squeeze in my kindle, phone, USB mains plug and charging cables, roll-on deodorant, toothbrush, shower-gel, pen and pad in my backpack.
Now to put my excess clothes in storage and see how I get on with the trimmed down wardrobe.
'Till next time
